Nicole | St. Marks Lighthouse Maternity Photography

With the first child and grandchild about to be born into the family, you can see the excitement overflowing from Nicole and her husband, Troy.  At 32 weeks, they are expecting a beautiful baby boy that they plan to name Cameron.  I love that name.  My son’s Godfather is named Cameron, and I even love that name for a girl.  It just works.  But I digress.

In seventeen years of living in Tallahassee I’ve never been to the St. Marks Lighthouse.  Can you believe that?  Am I the only one?  So, when Nicole and I were brainstorming spots for her session and she suggested  the St. Marks Lighthouse, it was an easy choice.  We watched the weather and were so excited for our sunny evening.  What we weren’t prepared for was the relentless Gulf breezes wind that was determined to make its presence felt.  Regardless, Nicole was a total trooper and never let the wind affect her ability to take in the moments and enjoy the quiet beach-side times with Troy and her growing baby.  Check out these few images of her session at the serene St. Marks Lighthouse and leave her some blog-love in the comments below.  I’m sure that she and her family will certainly appreciate it!

Oh yeah, and a quick word of advice:  Despite how beautiful the lighthouse is, pay attention to the signage out there.  It’s no joke (you’ll see what I mean in the last few images).
