“We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.”
A year from now or more, Brooks and Michael won’t remember that their ceremony started nearly an hour late, their coordinator was a no-show, it was nearly a million degrees (in May), and that their day’s events weren’t in perfect order. Instead, they’ll simply remember that their day was perfect for them. It was a day of celebration and a day of coming together between two families to make one. Sure it was hot; sure it was a bit delayed; sure there was some stress…but it was just as it should be. And perfect.
Fort Clinch State Park on Amelia Island was the perfect setting for their intimate ceremony, staged among a small group of family and friends. The emerald gulf water ,white sand beaches, and spectacular blue skies provided the incomparable backdrop that only a spring North Florida day can deliver. Brooks and Michael united their families under the golden sun and allowed me the opportunity to capture their memories while soaking in their excitement. Thank you, truly, for inviting me to be a small part of your day’s perfect imperfections. It was an honor.
